Only 2 weeks left in the QUARTER.  TEST DEADLINE is THURSDAY 3/18!  Most of the beginners are doing very well.  PARENTS, please insist od SEEING and HEARING the instruments at home!! Playing tests should be over half done by now. (see below) Most classes have 14 tests they need to pass as a requirement for an "A" on the test portion of the grade for this quarter.  Tests count for over 50% of the total grade. The remainder is based on their "CLASS EFFORT" grade. For 2nd Q, all students started off with an "A" in this part of the grade. They are allowed two free "NO's", as in NO instrument or NO music book in class or instrument NOT taken home. After the 3rd "NO", the CE grade drops to a "B", and then 4=C, 5=D, 6=F. And for this quarter, each "NO" will result in noon detention.

THIRD QUARTER TEST TAKERS

As of FRIDAY 3/12, students should have at least 12 tests passed have an "A" on the test portion of the grade. 10 would be minimum passing level at this time.

To RECEIVE an "A" test grade at end of 2nd Q, THURSDAY 12/17  A=10,B=8 OR 9,C=7 TESTS passed.
